The success of a terrorist act is predicated on stealth, surprise and anonymity. The chaos and fear that follow often add to the tremendous loss of life. With this in mind, a major international airport hired TAL Global to systematically analyze its current facilities and planned expansion design to assess its vulnerability to attacks and provide recommendations for the prevention of threats and the minimization of loss. Our highly skilled assessment team provided feedback on three main areas of vulnerability: the identification and categorization of threats, the evaluation and prioritization of solutions, and loss mitigation. The assessment was three-phased and focused on property, operations and people. The TAL Global airport vulnerability team analyzed every detail of airport operations and facilities management. While no one can predict with precise accuracy when a terrorist attack or disaster of another magnitude might hit, this airport is secure in the knowledge that precautions are in place to protect and minimize loss.
